Help. PS3 on CFW 4.82 with failed harddrive

Is there anyway to replace the harddrive and just install the firmware ?
Or is there more to this ?
The console is on the latest CFW rebug 4.82.
Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Easy way to upgrade a PS3 Slim Hard drive, REBUG 4.81.2

I have a PS3 Slim running Rebug 4.81.2 and it's got a 250GB internal drive in it. I want to upgrade to a 500GB drive I have here. I created a user account that matched the one I had on the original hard drive and copied just the save data and trophies over. Then I added a couple games but the trophies and saves are not showing up.

Is there another way to transfer my entire hard drive over via USB or something?

I heard that you can use Debug Settings and the HDD Exchange Utility but all...

PSN IP Bans because Rebug CFW?!

Hey.

Sony bans my IP every time am when I log in and sign a short time.
But that happens only if I use my DEX with Rebug 4.76.1 .
If I don't use my DEX my IP never get blocked.

Any idea?

Hello everyone, i've this console(decr 1400a/j) with cfw rebug decr.
Some app don' t work, for example, sen enabler (semi-brick at the opening app)
Can a cex 4.82 be spoofed with rebug toolbox?
This ps3 uses the same metldr/bootloader builds as CECH-2000 units.
Is it possible to create something like this? Or alternatively update the cfw?

QA Flag problem

I am on OFW 3.55 and just installed CFW for REBUG 3.55.4 REX EDITION. I installed rebug toolbox via package manager and then enabled QA flag in toolbox utilities. When I hover over Network setting and use L1/2/3 + R1/2 + dpad down I only get 1 menu. Every video I referenced shows 3 meues, Install package files, debug settings and Edy viewer. I only have debug settings. Did I miss a step or did QA flag enable?

PS3 Migration help.

1. 60gb ps3 on Rebug 4.82.2 CEX [CECH-A01] NAND
2. 500gb originally 80gb on 4.82.2 CEX [NOR]

I just want to swap these hard drives. what is the best and easiest way i can do this. i've been searching long hours copying tons of files and games its rediculous!

I also have a 120gb Ext drive + 2 80gb Ext Drives if that helps at all. I didn't take up all the space on my 500gb original 80gb phat.

I want the 60gb Full BC compatible ps3 to be my primary....

Hello folks

Right now my ps3 is on cfw rebug 4.82 with INT HDD 150gb only. But i have 1tb EXT HDD containing some games. I know some game required installing game data in order to play properly. But my INT HDD don't have space anymore. Is it possible to MOVE the installed game data on INT HDD to EXT HDD???

to me, I would like the rebug developers, could make a version of the rebug for RPCS3
emulator ps3 for greater compatibility between emulator and firmware including drivers graphigs of Nvidea and AMD in firmware for greater compatibility of the emulator and pc I hope they can do that would be great .

Installing a new HDD in PS3

I'm currently running REBUG 4.82.2 REX on my PS3 with a 160 GB HDD. I want to install a new larger HDD. I don't care about backing anything up. No trophies since my PSN was banned, and I can re-play my games over again from the beginning. So can I just put the new HDD in and use the REBUG PKG on a USB and install to new HDD?

I dont want to do anything without asking because I read once you install to a new HDD, you can't use your old one again without reformatting it.

Hello! I have PlayStation 3 Slim CECH-2508 [PAL, RU] with CFW Rebug 4.81.2 REX Cobra Edition.

By default my DVD Region: 5, Blu-ray Region: C.

In the webMan settings I changed DVD region to 1, Blu-ray region to A. After that Blu-ray disks region A are played without problems. When I try to play a DVD disks region 1, I get a message about the wrong region code.

4 years ago I already had a PS3 with CFW Rogero with Cobra functions and multiMan and had the same problem. But I somehow solved...

HELP! How can I change DVD region?

I've been trying to research this before I upgrade. I'm not sure of the answers yet...
1. Do i need to go back to Rogero 3.55 before upgrading to Rebug? Or can I upgrade from 4.55 to the latest rebug?
2. Will I need to upgrade anything else besides rebug before or after upgrading to rebug?

Hey guys, so my ps3 has been sitting for alot of years now, last i updated was on 3.55 kmeaw and it is still on the cfw. so i swapped the hard disk of 120gb with a 1tb, then i go in safe/recovery mode and i choose option 6, then i plug a usb stick in containing rebug 4.82, the update was a success so is the formatting of harddisk then the problem appeared, the initial setup. i choose language then it displayed a screen of asking me whether or not i want the output to be HDMI or not, i...
